Trustee Profiles


Pete Dolman                Born in Stoke, Peter is Husband to Julie and Dad to 3 children – Ben, Emily and William. Peter has a BA (Hons) degree in Sociology and began his career as a Production Manager at Royal Doulton. After 6 years he joined the civil service working with the Department for Work and Pension and then moving to be Senior Contracts and Commercial Manager at the Department of Education.
Sukhbir FararSukhbir began his teaching career as a Mathematics Teacher in 1989. Over the last 31 years he has held many management positions including Head of Year, Head of Maths and 18 years on the Senior Leadership Team. In 2017 Sukhbir was appointed as joint Executive Principal within an Academy Trust. Sukhbir has been an OFSTED inspector for the last 8 years.
Ben Halstead                             Ben has worked in finance-based roles since leaving school and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. Ben is currently a Senior Manager within a local practice where business and staff development are a key part of his role. In 2014 Ben was appointed a Parent Governor at his daughter’s primary school. He was transferred to a foundation Governor in 2015 and became the Chair of Finance in 2018.
Samuel HudmanSam is a Chartered builder and an experienced Project Management professional and Entrepreneur with a history of successful delivery in the construction, real estate and professional services industries. A graduate of Loughborough University with a BSc Hons degree in Construction Management. Samuel has worked in Construction in the UK and the Middle East. In 2018 Samuel set up the award winning Savesta Construction Ltd to focus on providing clients with an open and honest approach to construction main contracting across the West Midland
Jonathan LawsonJonathan completed a Combined Honours degree in English and American Studies at the University of Birmingham in 1997 and went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 having trained with a big-four accountancy firm based in Stoke on Trent. Whilst there he specialised in audit, including not-for-profit organisations and grant claims, as well as SME businesses and pension scheme and served a Financial Director. Jonathan has held numerous voluntary positions since 2009, including a school governor at both primary and secondary level, and has been the chair of finance at committee level since 2019. Jon chairs the Three Spires Trust Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
Mark MaydewSince Mark qualified as a teacher in 1994 - because he believes that every young person is a precious individual with incredible potential. Mark has qualified with his NPQH and MSc studies, together with 15 years of SLT experience (culminating in headship for the last four years at Erasmus Darwin, who are also on track to become part of a MAT. Mark is playing an instrumental role in forming this cross-phase MAT.
Julie PilmoreHeadteacher – Christ Church Primary School, Lichfield a large 2 form entry school with 420 pupils. Julie has worked on Christian distinctiveness and strong Christian values are embedded across the school. Christchurch were Outstanding in the last SIAMS inspection. Julie also works with St Chad’s Primary MAT, supporting one their Academies.
